Closeout Carpet Tile Installation Instructions
Important Installation Instructions for Permanent Install of Encycle Tile that are Promotional Goods sold as is.
- Tiles, adhesive, and site must maintain a temperature of 65 - 95 degrees for 24 hrs prior to, during and after the installation. The moisture emissionsrate must not exceed 5 lbs per 1000 sq ft for 24 hrs.
- Only use the TMG's Nu Broad Lok Multi-Purpose Adhesive. The adhesive must be troweled on with a 1/8" x 1/8" x 1/8" U-notched trowel. Coverage will be 8 - 10 sq yards per gallon. The adhesive should be given time to slightly flash. Times will vary depending on substrate conditions, temperature, humidity, ect.......a Good indication would be when adhesive "legs" from finger to floor when touched and pulled upward.
- Ensure grid lines are square. This will help avoid compression.
- Place tiles. Do not force tiles into position. (Loose is better)
- Do not cut too full around walls or fixtures. (Loose, not forced)
- Ensure installation is not too tight by measuring 10 tiles after placed. This measurement should be between 240 3/16" to 240 7/16". The installation must not be compressed. Take several measurements in both directions to ensure the above measurements are met. If uncertain, the use of a slight gap (.015) the thickness of a business card to reduce any compression.
- Tiles must be rolled with a 75-100 lb roller after installation to ensure 100% transfer.
